Glebe Orchards & Gardens

In March 2020, at the start of the first Covid 19 lockdown, some trees on the east side of the tennis courts were set alight. The Trustees asked for donations to purchase in memoriam trees to be planted on the east facing and on the west side overlooking Station Road. A number of village residents came forward at the same time The Trustees were approached by a group of environment champions who were very keen contribute to the Glebe Community Orchard by planting heritage varieties of apple trees to complement the various sponsored apple, pear and cherry trees.

In 2022 members of the Worshipful Company of Fruiterers, Neil Pedley and Roger Powdrill, donated 5 apple trees that have been planted in what was originally the orchard of Nether Court Farm
